Trade Help
Learn how item stability works and how to interpret trade values correctly before making a deal.
Stability Meanings
What each tag on the value list tells you about an item
Items with the rising stability are very likely to increase in value. They usually have strong demand and trade for more than their base value.
Items with the hyped stability are going through temporary inflation and a short-term spike in demand. They're heavily overpaid for right now and will likely decline once nothing sustains the higher value.
Items with the overpaid stability consistently receive offers above their base value. They have stronger demand than most skins and trade more easily.
Items with the fluctuating stability are inconsistent and haven't settled yet. Their value can move up or down.
Items with the stable stability reliably trade at their listed base value. They stay steady and rarely see major changes.
Items with the unstable stability haven't settled at their true value. Their value is expected to trend downward before eventually leveling out.
Items with the underpaid stability receive offers well below their base value, since they're seen as worse than expected for their rarity.
Items with the decreasing stability are very likely to fall in value. They usually have weak demand and consistently trade for less than their base value.
Items with the scarce stability have low demand but can still receive offers above their base value, thanks to the skin's rarity, low circulation, or limited availability in the market.
Items with the dynamic stability are a steadier form of fluctuating: offers can land above or below the skin's value, but that value itself is unlikely to change.
Index Arrows
What the arrow next to an item in a skin's index means
The skin is worth at least this index item, and often more. Treat the value as a floor (“and over”).
The skin is worth at most this index item, sometimes less. Treat the value as a ceiling (“and under”).
This index item is roughly the middle of the skin's range. It can trade a little above or below.
Index values aren't exact for every skin. The market moves fast and traders have their own standards, so use them as a guide, not a guarantee.
